Overview
Qlarifi is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to establish and shape the foundation of our data analytics function. As we aggregate extensive consumer Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) data to produce the pioneering Qlarifi Report - a consumer credit file focused on BNPL behaviour. You will play a critical role in delivering actionable insights, defining key metrics, and driving innovation. This is an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of data analytics in the fintech sector.
Key responsibilities
1. Build external reporting
Define the structure, content, and key metrics for external reports provided to lenders, ensuring they align with industry needs and Qlarifi’s strategic goals.
Collaborate with lenders to identify data attributes that enhance creditworthiness assessment and improve underwriting models.
2. Internal metrics & analysis
Develop and implement robust internal metrics and dashboards to track platform performance, consumer behaviour trends, and product outcomes.
Provide data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders to optimise product offerings and operational efficiency.
3. Data attribute evaluation
Conduct in-depth analysis of the *Qlarifi Report* data attributes to assess their value in predicting consumer credit behaviour, loan stacking, and fraud risk.
Generate detailed insights on how attributes correlate with BNPL industry objectives, including underwriting, fraud detection, and consumer protection.
4. Innovation in data insights
Ideate new data attributes that could act as predictive indicators for lenders, focusing on improving credit decisioning and consumer risk assessment.
Test and validate these attributes through analysis and simulations, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Key qualifications
Strong experience in analysing large-scale, complex datasets, ideally in a fintech or financial services environment.
Expertise in SQL and familiarity with AWS Postgres RDS databases, particularly handling relational and jsonb data.
Proven track record in defining and delivering high-value external reports and internal performance metrics.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of data attributes and develop predictive indicators.
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics and modelling.
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with credit reporting, BNPL industry dynamics, or consumer lending analytics.
Experience in ideating and validating new data attributes or metrics in a business context.
